The Best Christmas Of All: For Mariofanstar

Mario stood all alone on the balcony of the castle, overlooking the snow-covered landscape. It was Christmas Eve, and he had invited a lot of his good friends to a Christmas party.

While he knew he was supposed to be happy around this time of year, but how could he? Everyone but his good friend Bowser had the spirit of Christmas.

"Why so glum, Mario?"

The red-clad plumber turned his head to the source of the voice. Right next to him he saw two teenagers named Ben Valor and Neros Urameshi, leaning on the railing.

Mario sighed as he explained, "Oh, Neros, Ben, I wanted-a to throw a party and make-a it a Merry Christmas for-a everyone. But Bowser-a, my best-a buddy, is missing out."

"Now, Mario, the Christmas spirit doesn't come from a party." Ben told him, placing a hand on Mario's shoulder.

"Huh?" Mario asked.

"It comes from sharing the holidays with family and friends." Neros explained, "And considering what you just said about Bowser, it seems that he has the best friend anyone could want in you."

The red-clad plumber thought this over. Perhaps the two boys were right about what they were saying.

"Well, I guess-a you're right. And-a I wish everyone could-a have the best Christmas ever," Mario said with a chuckle, "Even-a Bowser the humbug."

Ben grinned as he gestured to the starry sky, "Well, haven't you watched Pinocchio? If you wish on a star, your dream might just come true."

Mario looked to the brightest star in the sky, then nodded with a smile. He knew exactly what kind of wish he had in mind.

"Okey-dokey, I wish that-a home or away, with family and-a friends, whether you have-a the fanciest-a decorations or the humblest little-a tree, that... that-a everyone could-a have the Christmas spirit."

Just then, something magical happened. One of the stars slowly descended from the heavens towards the three. When it reached them, it turned out to be a glowing gold Christmas star.

"Mamma mia!" Mario exclaimed in amazement.

The red-clad plumber looked to Neros and Ben, who nodded with smiles. With a smile of his own, Mario gestured for the two to follow him back inside, and they obliged. Surely, this definitely could be the best Christmas anyone ever had.

A little later, Mario approached a grumpy-looking Bowser, the latter sitting in a big red armchair.

"Hey, Bowser?" Mario spoke up.

"Whaddya want, Faucet Head?" The king koopa asked with a scowl.

"Well... I want-a my best friend to put-a the star on the tree." Mario replied as he held out the golden star he had.

"You want ME to do it?!" Bowser asked in surprise as he smiled.

"Aw, you bet-a I do!" Mario replied with a nod.

With a smirk, Bowser took the star and walked over to a small yet lovely Christmas tree and placed the star on top. And just has he did so, the star began to glow much to everyone's amazement.

Much to everyone's surprise, Bowser gave off the biggest grin anyone had ever seen, "Merry Christmas!"

Then, without warning, the tree that got its star grew big and tinsel and bows appeared on it along with colored Christmas lights.

"Wow!" Luigi exclaimed.

"Amazing!" Peach said.

"I don't believe it!" Daisy said in awe.

Then, all of the Christmas decorations became beautiful and ornate, much to everyone's surprise and happiness.

One of the partygoers, a young man named Prince Sky exclaimed, "It's magical!"

As he said this, he held Princess Bloom's hand and the two smiled to one another.

"Wow!" Vivian exclaimed excitedly as her trademark hat transformed into a Santa hat.

"Ay carumba! Es muy bonita." A purple-furred Imaginary Friend named Eduardo said in awe at the decorations.

Mario looked to Ben and Neros with a satisfied look that managed to say 'Thank you, guys!'

"That ol' star never lets ya down!" Neros remarked with a grin

As music began to play, Bowser sat back in his chair with a satisfied grin. Just as Ben came up and leaned against the chair, looking over the decorations, happy with everything. Meanwhile, as a purple-scaled dragon leaned against the fireplace, his little companion, Sparx the Dragonfly began to sing a little song.

Sparx the Dragonfly: Here we are,

Warm and cozy by the fire's glow</i>

With a grin, Sky held a mistletoe over himself and Bloom.

Bloom: Singing songs

And stealing kisses under the mistletoe</i>

Grinning, the young red-headed princess gave the prince a kiss on the cheek, making him smile.

Eduardo: We've finished our feast</i>

Yoshi: Had the tastiest treats!</i>

Rose and her boyfriend, Jake Long, came up to the stage, holding each other's hands. They were soon joined by other characters, such as Bloom and Sky, along with her friends from the Winx Club, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna, Aisha and Roxy. Other characters included Kirby, Tiff, Tuff, Meta-Knight, the Foster's gang, Mario's pals from his Paper Mario adventures and Spyro the Dragon's many friends.

Rose: But the spirit of Christmas just isn't complete</i>

All: Without true friends and family

And the memories we recall</i>

As the Powerpuff Girls- Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup- and Rowdyruff Boys- Brick, Boomer and Butch- flew towards the stage, they joined in the sing as well.

All: And makes this the best Christmas of all</i>

Soon, all the partygoers gathered around the tree. One of them- a blue blob-like imaginary friend named Blooregard Q. Kazoo- picked up a present and handed it to Eduardo.

Bloo: Something special underneath the tree</i>

The beat-like friend opened his gift to find a plushie version of himself inside. Eduardo smiled and sighed happily as he hugged his new plushie, because this gift seemed perfect for him. Meanwhile, Spyro, Hunter the Cheetah, Zoe the Fairy, Bianca the Rabbit, the Professor and Moneybags watched as Elora opened their gift to her. She smiled widely to find inside the package a dress fit for a princess.

Spyro and Friends: We hope it fits you perfectly!</i>

Elora gave them each a hug, "You guys are so sweet!"

As he sang, Mario looked up at the star on the tree.

Mario: I'm-a making a wish

On a sparkling-a light</i>

Just then, a huge black dragon, a Night Fury named Toothless, came flying in. Riding on his back were two human teenagers named Hiccup and Astrid.

Hiccup and Astrid: But that's not what makes this a magical ni-ight</i>

"Everybody now!" Mario, Luigi, Peach and Daisy exclaimed.

Everyone: It's our true friends,

And family...

And the mem'ries we recall...</i>

Count Bleck, Wario, Waluigi, King Dedede, Escargoon, Fuzzy Lumpkins, Valtor and Ripto: That we recall!</i>

All: It's the love we share

That fills the air</i>

As that was sang, Metaknight flew into the air with Kirby following on his Warpstar, Tiff and Tuff riding on their own Warpstars.

That makes this the best Christmas of all</i>

Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy and Yoshi: It's good friends

And warm wishes that makes this the best...</i>

Bowser: It's the beeest...</i>

All: Christmas of all!!!</i>

With a chuckle, Mario came up to Bowser and put his arm around the koopa as he looked to the audience.

"Thanks-a for letting us share our-a Christmas spirit with-a you." The plumber said with a grin, "Merry Christmas-a, ev'rybody!"

And then, Zoe flew in and tapped the Christmas star with her wand, causing the star to flash, and the screen to fade to black, ending the one-shot.
