Ariel's Response To Haters in a Nutshell

Marked as mature due to offensive language. This is not only my response to anyone who says Ariel is a selfish brat, but is also based on the Pissed Off Tobey Maguire meme: [link]

Honestly, I hate how people call out Ariel on being a terrible role model. Okay, here's what I have to say: While Ariel is somewhat responsible for Ursula nearly gaining control of Atlantica, I doubt she was aware of the consequences of her actions. She wasn't deliberately aiding the big bad in gaining control, she just basically went to her for "help" after her father, King Triton, literally smashed her hopes and dreams and destroyed her love for the ocean. What would YOU have done if your parent destroyed your collection of whatever you collect for and shattered your hopes and dreams?!

And honestly, how DARE you say that Ariel is a selfish brat when I'm pretty sure you weren't a very perfect teenager yourself growing up?! F****** hypocrites! Yeah, I've had my fair share of teenage angst growing up, but do you see me acting like I was a perfect child?! Hell no! Ariel is basically tired of the same old life under the sea, which was why she longed to be a part of the human world. Collecting human stuff just simply wasn't enough for her. You'd feel the same way if you were stuck in the same old provincial town you grew up during a majority of your life.

MY point being, that Ariel is not a selfish brat. And by the way, she longed to be a part of the human world WAY before she even saw Eric. He was pretty much the justification (the even bigger reason) for her to long for that world above.
